From the gentle fixed rope route at the Eggstock to the more difficult three peak classic featuring the awesome large suspension bridge, this is definitely interesting climbing country. There are many and various hiking routes. Some of the favourite ones are either to the restaurant 'Nussbüel' or from the legendary Oberblegisee to Braunwald or from the Gumen by way of Kneugrat to the Grotzenbuel. In Grotzenbuel the Chamistube restaurant offers delicious Glarner specialities and a playground and trampoline for young visitors.
Enjoy the amazing mountain scenery, colourful alpine flora and the whispering mountain brooks. Try your hand at fishing in the Oberblegisee ? there are plenty there to catch! Have a relaxing horse and carriage ride past traditional farms, homely chalets and to the most picturesque spots in Braunwald or visit the Alpine Rose garden with 500 varieties of rose.
