Braunwald
Welcome to Braunwald! This car-free, family friendly resort has much to offer whatever the season.
Situated at an altitude of 1300 metres in southern Glarnerland, the Braunwald-Klausenpass region has an extremely beautiful and unique landscape. The view to the south with the prominent peaks of the Todi and Ortstock mountains is stunning and can be clearly seen on the "Scenic route" - one of the many themed trails in this resort.

With only a 90 minute car or train ride from Zurich, Braunwald is the perfect place for a day trip or a longer holiday. Let your children discover the world of Dwarf Baartli on one of the most popular themed trails. Straight from the fairy story "Zwaarg Baartli" they will find themselves playing in the dwarf caves, the jewel mine and the dwarf's castle (May to October only though, fairytale dwarves hibernate in winter).
It's easy to see why Braunwald was given the 'Families Welcome' award.
