⇒ Bergetensee ⇒ Rietstöckli ⇒ Ober Friteren ⇒ Nussbüel
⇒ Braunwald (1'256 m ü. M.)
A particularly beautiful hike with several highlights. Such as the path through the Brächalp, past the Bergeten lake, hiking through the plant protection area, and the unique panorama of the Rietstöckli. Topped with a stop at the restaurant Nussbüel, celebrating the end of a beautiful day!
From the Gumen a beautiful nature trail leads towards Brächalp Oberstafel. From there you reach the idyllic Bergeten lake, in the middle of the plant protection area. Passing alpenroses, Turk’s cap lilies and other species of the mountain lily, you continue on a narrow but well-developed path to the "Tüüfels Chilchli" (Devil’s Little Church), a stone formation which stands out above the trail. The formation is topic in many sagas.
The path then continues to Rietstöckli, which lies at the foot of the Ortstock, between Braunwald and Urnerboden. Here you have a view of almost the entire valley.
On a sound zigzag trail down to Rietalp, you are not far from the cozy restaurant Nussbüel. On a wide dirt road and with virtually no height differences, you return to Braunwald, where the Braunwaldbahn takes you back to Linthal in just 7 minutes.
